🔹 Zopisign 10mg Zopiclone
Zopiclone is a sleeping medicine (hypnotic) used for short-term insomnia.
⚠️ First, a reality check
👉 10 mg Zopiclone is NOT a standard dose in most guidelines
- Usual maximum adult dose = 7.5 mg
- Higher doses (like 10 mg) are rare and increase risk significantly
🔹 What it is used for
- 😴 Severe insomnia
- 🌙 Trouble falling asleep
- ⏰ Frequent night waking
🔹 How it works
- Acts on GABA receptors
- Slows brain activity
- Produces strong sedation → helps sleep quickly
🔹 Dosage (VERY IMPORTANT ⚠️)
- Standard dose: 7.5 mg at night
- Elderly: 3.75 mg
👉 10 mg only if a doctor specifically prescribes it
👉 Higher dose = higher risk, not “better sleep”
🔹 Common side effects (stronger at 10 mg)
- 😖 Bitter/metallic taste (very common)
- 😴 Next-day drowsiness (“hangover effect”)
- 😵 Dizziness
- 🧠 Poor memory / confusion
🔴 Serious risks (HIGH at 10 mg)
- ⚠️ Dependence / addiction
- ⚠️ Sleepwalking / unusual behavior
- ⚠️ Memory loss (blackouts)
- ⚠️ Breathing suppression (dangerous with alcohol)
- ⚠️ Accidents due to sedation
🚫 Strict warnings
Do NOT combine with:
- Alcohol ❌
- Benzodiazepines (e.g., Alprazolam, Bromazepam)
- Opioids or other sleeping pills
👉 This combination can be life-threatening.
